Psychotherapy & hypno-psychotherapy
What is psychotherapy?
Psychotherapy is a communication-based treatment, or a ‘talking therapy’, that involves you engaging in an interactive, professional relationship with a qualified practitioner. Whilst there are numerous types of psychotherapy, all focus on enabling you to examine and deal with significant issues that are interfering with your life, or preventing you from fulfilling your potential.
Problematic thoughts, emotions, or behaviours that are causing you distress or undermining your confidence can be explored and addressed through various approaches and techniques. Such approaches will help to enhance your insight, self-confidence, self-belief, coping skills, and self-reliance.
What is hypno-psychotherapy?
Quite simply, Hypno-psychotherapy involves combining hypnosis, hypnotherapy, and psychotherapy within integrated therapeutic programmes.
The benefits of combining hypnotherapy with psychotherapy
Qualified Hypno-psychotherapists are able to combine psychotherapeutic approaches with hypnosis and hypnotherapy. Psychotherapy techniques may be used alone or once you have entered a state of hypnosis. In fact, hypnosis can be used to augment the effectiveness of virtually all forms of psychotherapy. Moreover, by facilitating greater access to your unconscious mind, hypnosis can make it easier to uncover deep-seated issues and unhelpful beliefs, which may then be addressed with an appropriate form of psychotherapy. Combining hypnotherapy with psychotherapy also enables more complex psychological, emotional, and behavioural issues to be addressed than by hypnotherapy alone.
